By accessing and using My Confessions ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Religious Service

My Confessions is a Christian religious ministry providing active spiritual guidance and confession services. Our religious services include:

• Immediate Christian spiritual counseling and confession services
• Biblical guidance and prayer generation based on Scripture
• Anonymous confession platform following Christian tradition
• Optional community prayer sharing for spiritual support
• Subscription-based access to unlimited spiritual guidance

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

3.1 Account Registration

While you can use basic features anonymously, creating an account provides access to additional features. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information (email, name)
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 General Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service for lawful purposes only
• Provide accurate information when subscribing to Premium services
• Respect the spiritual and religious nature of the Service
• Not share content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate
• Not attempt to misuse or harm the Service or other users

4. Subscriptions and Payment Terms

4.1 Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription plans for access to our spiritual guidance services:

• Free Plan: Up to 4 conversations per month with limited features
• Monthly Premium: $9.99/month for unlimited access to all features
• Annual Premium: $99/year (save 17%) for unlimited access to all features

Premium subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal.

4.2 Religious Ministry Support

All subscription payments to My Confessions are voluntary contributions to support our active Christian ministry. Subscriptions help maintain our ongoing spiritual guidance and confession services, server costs, and ministry operations.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

4.4 Tax Deductibility

My Confessions is not currently a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Subscription payments may not be tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.

4.5 Refund and Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period. Due to the nature of our service and immediate access to digital content, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact us at support@myconfessions.org.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

6. Spiritual Guidance Disclaimer

The AI-powered spiritual guidance provided by My Confessions is not a substitute for:

• Professional counseling or therapy
• Medical or psychiatric treatment
• Official sacramental confession with an ordained priest
• Formal religious instruction or doctrine

7. Content and Intellectual Property

7.1 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create. By sharing prayers publicly, you grant us a license to display and share that content within the Service.

7.2 Service Content

The My Confessions platform, AI responses, and related materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

My Confessions and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of subscription fees you have paid in the past 12 months.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

11. Email Communications

11.1 Types of Emails

By creating an account, you may receive the following types of emails:

• Transactional Emails: Account registration, password resets, payment confirmations, subscription updates (cannot be disabled)
• Notification Emails: Prayer engagement notifications, community updates (can be disabled)
• Marketing Emails: Spiritual follow-ups, upgrade reminders, feature announcements (can be disabled)
• Spiritual Insights: Weekly Biblical reflections and encouragement (can be disabled)

11.2 Email Preferences

You can manage your email preferences at any time through your account settings or by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any marketing email. Transactional emails cannot be disabled as they are essential for account security and service delivery.

11.3 Email Service Provider

Emails are sent through SendGrid, a trusted third-party email service provider. By providing your email address, you consent to SendGrid processing your email for delivery purposes.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the Service or via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
